i have just been given a h plate 1.6 GTi and i was wanting to know what parsts will fit my 1.9 GTi

it has a 19 rear beam on it so i know that will fit and i have also been told that it has a new steering rack fitted about a year ago will this fit ??

and what other parts will fit my 19 GTI

any help you guys can give me will be awsome

Too many to mention I think, however from my limited experience just the 1.6 wheels won't fit over 1.9 hub/calipers. The drive shafts are different as is the gearbox, but the gearbox fits a 1.9 giving different ratios.

Sorry to be vague but I do think that's it.

what phases are the respective cars?- ph2 has different steering rack- you also need the lower column to fit to ph1/15

Free gtis are the best! <_<

i say restore it and sell at a great profit, use the cash to buy parts from 205 Mi16's that get broken up....

Well if am honest the 1.6 is a wreck bodywork wise to much graft to restore it was thinking more about stripping it and using parts

there both

H plates

the 19's rear beam is fooked aswell so am thinking about sorting that out with this free gti lol

its probably easier to say what wont fit really

the wheels will fit if they say speedline on them

obviously the engine internals are different, except the camshaft

you will find the air flow meter, distributor, ecu also are different although they will physically go on

master cylinder hubs, compensators, driveshafts, calipers dont interchange

thats all i can think of at the moment
