Evening gents l reg phase 2 gti 1.9

Well again I'm here asking the knowledgable people .

1. Am I right in saying there not much to tune . Timing comes of the crankshaft even though I turn the dizzy on the small adjustment it has with what seems time no effect .

2. The engine is lumpy - great when cold and no engine management light

3. When warm light comes on and yes it's fine but not smooth

Any ideas all my sensors are working and gauges .

Ditto , lambda sensor connectors and wiring are down the chassis leg and often oxidized on the connector terminals .. found on a mates motronic 205 sensor connectors full of water after an rainy day drive .. symptoms where much like yours , the flash code was 52 or 54 (?? can't remember precisely)

Miles

The Dizzy of sorts is not adjustable and should have a fixed spacer in there, set in the middle if not, ECU control's the idle on these
