[car_upgrade] Peugeot 205 Gti Griffe

Recommended Posts

vinorak

I want to introduce my car. Last year, I bought a gti and it was a limited edition Griffe. It was made 3000 cars (1000 for france without cat and sunroof, 1000 for holland and 1000 for germany, both with xu9jaz 88kw)

some facts: ABS, sunroof, central locking doors, power steering, full leather black seats.

upgrades: front brakes from pug 206 2.0 Hdi 266mm Brembo max with Textar pads, MC 23.8mm from pug 406 3.0 V6, instrument panel from citroen bx gti16 with oil level gauge, pug 206 cc 16 inch wheels Ouragan fith 15mm spacers on front and 20mm on rear.

Next plans: mi16, paint job

Why oh why do people have to mess with the limited editions ???

Yes I know its because you can but if you want to then why not start with anyone of the regular ones then who minds ?

Shame to do the Mi16 route but then again its his/hers isn't it?

We are probably only jealous.

ps I've had a few road rally cars and a currently have a 'stock' 1.9 so have been and done both sides of the argument

In Czech Republic, there is hard to buy good gti, most of all are old rusty car wait for silicon heaven

Yes, I know But these changes are reversible, BX instrument panel can change in a few minutes, brakes is for my save and it's big difference compered with standard setup. Wheels are the best, what i can buy in Czech Rep. I'm looking for speedline sl434 in griffe colors, but it's hard to find..

Mi16- yes maybe i ruin the spirit of limited edition, but i can swap it back if i want.

http://forum.205gti.org/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=6298 this is the second griffe in czech rep. Maybe less than 10 cars are in czech....

Very very nice griffe you have there.

Is that the bx instrument panel you have installed in the picture above? Looks very nice, i've heard a few people do this but never actually seen one.

Good luck and keep us updated.

Chris

it lights green  but oil pressure gauge is 2 in 1, when i turn on the ignition it measures oil level, after ten seconds it starts to measure oil pressure :)

Thanks for the pictures

The oil level is similar to a 306 then, i didn't think you could get this to work on a 205? Have you adapted something to make this work?

Chris

on XU9(8v or 16v) there is a hole in block with level meter, it is under the exhaust, BX instruments has little additional ele. circuit, you need only + and two wires for level meter and job is done

Very nice, I will be watching this thread for sure!

Love the Griffe's

Dan

PS - everybody has different tastes/ideas of what makes a good car, What one man likes another hates but when all said and done this chap has gone and bought a 205 and joined a fantastic forum so how can anyone complain. If you dont like it you don't have to click on his thread

Good luck with the car vinorak!

In the below pic it shows the car has had a bit of paint in the past, are you sure it's an original Griffe and not a black GTI sprayed green?
