Colour Wires Going To Oil Pressure Sensor On 1.9 8V?

Hi

 

A friend is fitting another 1.9 8v engine in my 205 and has asked me what colour wires go to the oil pressure switch and sender - as the manual doesn't give colours, only numbers which have long gone...

 

Any help would be much appreciated

Turn ignition on and get someone to touch the wires on the block, earth etc. You'll soon see which is which. Just flick the wires however, as the needle will deflect violently.

But as Peter mentions just earth any wires you're not sure of against the block with the ignition on and the corresponding gauge or warning light should work.
