Where To Buy Custom Pistons?

Recommended Posts

Chuchy

Hello everybody, I´m building a XU9JA for rallying and I have a litle problem. I want to fit custom pistons, but I don´t know where to buy them.

I asked Omega, but they have a minimun order of 20 pistons.

I asked wossner too, but they want around 900€ for them, a bit expensive for a medium quality pistons, I think.

Where do you buy your pistons guys?

Thank you.

try http://www.cp-carrillo.com/

If you need around 10.5/11 -1 compression then a standard 1.6 piston will work.

have you chosen a conrod yet?

Doesn't mi16 piston give more compression than the 1.6? And then the 406 flat top even more?

I love how much valve clearance there is with the 8v!

Hi, in other engines I have use flat top pistons from 405, and mi6 pistones, the best oem option, in my opinion.

But for this engine I want something more, I'm going to try to do my best in it, I want to pass the 200bhp with a decent engine life.

For conrods I've contacted with Robson, who is going to do my custom rods for a very good price.

I have an aswer from cp and wossner. More or less they have taken me the same price, I think CP is better by far, isn't it?

I'm waiting for the JE answer, and I will try Iapel too.

Regards
