Best Colour Wheels?

Recommended Posts

Guest BrainFluid

While I'm here I might as well have an idle dream about what are the best colour wheels on a miami blue.

I'm struggling to think of anything really so what are your thoughts?

on a miami blue it has to be very shiny clean standard silver 15" speedlines IMO

i should go with the dark grey, as shown, but i would paint the whole wheel, and wont leave any silver on it.

this, or just go to the other direction

with white.

Definately the Goodwood style IMO, the anthracite and polished lip just sets off a Miami well. Diamond cut rims also look good too.

Interesting stuff! It would seem that there are few choices when coupled with the miami.

Silver, agreed. Looks ace against the blue. Goodwood sure I could get used to that but not with red strip IMO, with silver strip and silver text on the side badges, yeah, ace a mundo.

But I loves the red strip I do. Sign of a 1.6 eh? In fact 90% of the time it'll have 1.6 silver alloys on. I like them and want to keep the outside classic 1.6 looking.

So what about the 10% of the time 1.9 alloys? Surely there must be a colour other than silver? Maybe the new question should be...

"what is the best 'wacky' not classy colour to paint 1.9 wheels for a miami?"

A mate of mine has white wheels on his Miami, but with the polished rim like the Goodie wheels. Looks pretty nice, but that is with chrome inserts, body coloured quarter badges and no slatted boot panel, so not too sure it would look good coupled with the red...

Heres a picture of wheels i tried on mine, both are 16's. Rears are comp Mo's and fronts are Raceline RL7's (i think)...

Bloody thing has been sitting in the workshop for 4 months now with no wheels on, as hes too busy to work on it. I will get some up when its finished, hes registered on here anyway. Colour combination looks good on it anyway, especially as its one of the earlier lighter shades of Miami blue.

Nice car actually, has an MI with Webers, its caged, Wilwood 4 pots, Quaiffe diff etc-pity it isnt working really!

All 5 of those wheels look lovely.

I remember seeing a pic of comp mo's once in goodwood style. looked absolutely nuts.

1.9 goodwoods for me though.
