Rear Disc Conversion Concern

Recommended Posts

Josh_Quant

so night I made a started on the rear disc conversion but have come across a slight problem where the nut sits slightly proud of the stub axle by approx 5mm if that..

So the parts I'm using are..

306 spacer behind bearing

306 stub axles

306 disc and pads

306 bearings

306 calipers

205 calipers brackets

205 bearing washer (306 are thicker)

question is this something to worry about or any had this problem?

The nut should thread on far enough that you can stake it, ie a few mm of stub axle stuck out from the nut.

Same issue both sides and were both stub axles the same length?

if the stub axles are recently fitted they may not be fully home.

think there are 2 different length 306 stub axles if you have bits from different cars

Fitted the other side today and the shaft stuck a lot more past the nut so I think your correct mikeyd
