So, this weekend we went to pick up the car instead of July 11..

My father, my brother and me went over to Utrecht, where the car was..

Loaded it up the trailer and went back home..

Here are a few pics of the car on the trailer when we arrived at home..

Only the subframe and wishbones are missing. The PTS dampers (complete struts) did come with the car.

The subframe also came with the car.. It's a standard subframe..

Here are the pics of the car inside:

As can be seen on the last picture, the front shocks (Group A) are brand new.. ;)

You can also see al little difference with the KW front suspension shocks (standard 205/309 GTi).. :)

Now that is one hell of an interesting cage.

I bet a few of the 309 boys will want a close look at it.

You're free to come and have a look <_<

If somebody needs a few pics of specific parts of the rollcage I can make them.. No problem..

But it won't be soon.. I'm kind of busy right now with a lot of things, except with the car..

Sander,

What front hubs are you going to use?

Were you supplied with the originals? Are they the same as the grp A type?

Hey..

I've got a PM from u guy a know, he offered me a complete Group A front suspension.. the hubs that are included are 306 hubs. Modified to fit the Group A front shocks..

Haven't yet decided what to do.. It costs 1300 euro.. Still thinking about it.. Searching for more info to find out if it is the same as were used original.. And the brakes also have to fit, but I don't think that that will be a problem..

So I haven't got a solution yet..

Don't take this the wrong way, but I'm a little dissapointed with that cage! :( I thought it would be much more comprehensive

The car is going to be awesome though! :)

All right.. Time to blow some dust of this topic..

It's been a while since last update..

Haven't got many things to tell but every update is an update, right..

Here we go..

A month ago or so, I bought a 1.9 8v engine. As you can see on the pics:

013.JPG

014.JPG

Also bought some other parts, engine mounts, 2 PTS hubs and some other small parts.

Hopefully I can get some spare time in 2010. So I can start rebuilding the engine by the specs that I have.

Another thing, recieved a 309 Turbo Cup construction manual. Very interresting stuff.

That's it.

See ya.

Good to see it's moving along.

Were the PTS hubs the ones from ebay?

A bit cheeky but do you have a scanned version of the construction manual at all Sander?

He Rich,

I got the hubs from a friend of mine.. Have to look if they are the right ones I need.. Haven't seen them yet, but he told me to pick them up.. They do fit the PTS coilovers..

Don't have a digital version of the manual.. Sorry..

Also bought a set of new 1.9 8v valves.. And another few new bits for the engine.. Small parts..

In the christmasholiday I'm starting on the engine, taking it apart, and get the block to the soda-blaster.. The head is going to another friend of mine, the company where he workes is specialized in engine rebuilding..

When it's al back, we can start reassembling again..

those GpA front legs, whats 'in' that sort of canister type oval thing at the bottom of them. I have seen them before but don't know how they differ to the more recent PTS units
