Since I bought my first 205 back in -99 I have dreamt about a 205 Mi16. It's now time to make that dream come true.

It all started this summer when I found a non sunroof 205 to the right price.

I hade own the car in one day when I started to modify it. The idea is that it should be a road legal track car.

Looking good, any idea on the final specification?

The specifications is think to be something like this:

Will start with a standard 1,9 Mi16 engine just to get the car running. Then will I build a more exotic engine later.

Have bought my self a 205 that already is converted. Will pick many parts from that one.

It have 306 S16 brakes so those will be taken as well.

Then have my brother bought a 309 GTI. Will take the front wishbones and rear beam from it.

The interior will be as little as possible. Rollcage, two bucket seats and a steering wheel.

all seems like a lot of swapping over when the silver shell looks nicer to start with ?

Have got that reaction from many peoples. The thing is that the red one have a nicer body.

Some rust at the right front wheel is all. The silver has much more and it also has a sun roof.

But I really like the silver color so I might going to re-spray the red one in silver.

Got some pictures from Grahamrally regarding seam welded bodies.

Will see when I've got time to remove the rest of the undercoat. It's a really fun job......

always nice to have those .

i presume they came off a 405?

however, they are SL341 (not 434) and 7J15 (not 6.75J15) but that might prove to be even better .

I already have two cars that I'm using so I don't need a third one.

I bought them from a guy on the Swedish peugeot forum so I don't know which car they have been on.

wow, that would be nice! :)

centerlock though... :)

but i've recently been thinking of a solution and it could be easily done via custom, but not too special, wheel spacers B).

The biggest problem is that I only have one wheel. Comes from a old BTCC/STCC Volvo

I have now started to seam weld the body.

Started with the engine bay.

2.JPG

Rust had eaten a piece of the car so it had to be repaired.

Remember. Always use a proper safety equipment!

This is what I have used:

It have taken me about 3 whole days to get the body clean. You need to have some defect in your head for doing a thing like this.

Peoples says that you can save about 13 kg if you get rid of all underseal.
