Ignition Module

hi guys,
just bought a mint 205 xs today, all going great untill....
engine cut out and would not start again -
checked spark= no spark
and when cranking over on the starter the revcounter stays at 0

is this my ignition module buggered?
if so can anyone tell me the part number and maybe give me a good website to get one off,

p.s is my TDC sensor supposed to be conected to anything

I dont think the rev counter works off the ignition module does it?

ummm not to sure myself mate, i think i remember someone telling me it does but i might be wrong

no tcd sensor doesnt connect to anything on an xs.

go through the dizzy first, make sure the rotor arm and cap are ok before you look at the ignition amp.

ok cheers,

looked at the arm and cap arm is fine but i think i could do with a new cap soon.
think i will just have to buy a cap and arm as well as a ignition module to be on the safe side :wacko:

anybody know how many pins the module has because on gsf they have a option of 5 or 7 pin modules

if anyone is interested, i changed the ignition module today and she is now right as rain <_< :ph34r:

My module went on my rally XS rally car on stage, engine died instantly, all lights came on dash etc etc. Was weird, changed ignition module and run sweet.

yeh when mine died i was giving it some smokey and then sudenly revs droped to 0, i thought osh** this will be expensive, new module mine runs sweet again now aswell
