Is there anyone who is interested of the transforming of the car?

I use the car mostly on club meeting's and trackday's. The engine is still orginal. But to next summer it will be a better one. I've got a heart problem sinse last christmas, so my ideas don't work as I've think.

 

Hope you excuse the bad spelling but as you know I'm from Sweden.

 

I can in a near future insert some pictures and write what I've did to the car.

 

This is how it all started. I've a projektcar but I like to drive so I bought another car.

Drive the first season as it was. some small details to help.

And why not a roll cage

And some carbonfibre. Why not save some wight.

Almost done with the roll cage.

The winter. And a lot of work.

I borrowed a Dimma shell of a buddy. And start the plastic work.First of all the moulds.

O some more carbonfibre. I like carbon fibre.

Fron wing's on it's way.

O there it is.

Ready with more and more of the plastic parts.

You often said you want many pictures. What's the limit for picture?

 

If you think my garage looks strange? It's an old stable. When my daughters moved out of the home I think I have better use for it as a garage.

I try to go on with the picture. And the shortened story. But 1 picture say more than a 1000 word.

 

As a thank you for the borrow of the shell I moulded up a flip rear to my buddy. A'la T16

The rear door or what you call it. In glass fiber. The Dimma logo in relief.

Something happens after all. It was a busy winter.

No it's not hard. I've done som boats before, so I'm used to the work.

And btw the mould's are not for a mass produktion then I've to stabilise them better. It's more one of a kind.

As I can't sleep I go on with the paintwork.

Some part's been painted.

And the shell itself.

O I forgot I've doors to. And even they need some paint.

Yes they got blue.

Start to look like a car again. wrong rims bu what the f***.

But I still waiting for my Dimma rims. It gone to be so nice.

As I still don't know the limit for the picture. I give it a try to put in some more.

Time for a test run.

Some polycarbonate windows.

Got some spacer today but I can't find a picture of them. they are 55mm wide. Here's the car with the trackday tires and the spacers in place. Just like glowing in the dark.

Soon it's time for the first trackday with the wide car. It's some nervous feelings with it. I've work rather hard this winter, and I'm only home at the weekends. So there is not mutch sleep when I'm home. I work 200km from home so it's impossible to drive every day. Mostly depending of the price of the gasoline. I work at Gillinge

All in this article is over a time period of 2½ year. But here I'm going to the first tracday.

New rear light is a must.

And here we are. Look at the angle of the Subaru!

This is necessary for the sweden mot test.

And some more of the carbon fibre.

At laaaaast they have arrived!

I think it look's rather nice.

Moved the battery backwards. I did my own box for it, it's gas safe.

Time for a new winter, and new ideas. This is still 2008. To be continued.

The winter 2008 - 2009! Some more work to do.

I start with a simple sort of laptimer. I think it can be good when I setup the car for trackuse.

When I welded the roll cage I'm not thinking of the side mirror. It ended up with the Toyota pipe just in the view field. I've to modify the right mirror.

Fastening of the carbon fibre roof. A lot of weight to hold it down. And there you can also see my spacers.

Now the big brake come. My heart is not in good condition. Ended up in hospital for a couple of weeks. So I've to take a break.

The winter ends up and I feel better. Soon it's easter and the exhibition in Elmia comes near.

The most strange thing happens. I'm in the Swedish magazine Bilsport.

Some more for the road use. Refurbished rear axle from a 309.

Including a better ARB.

Everyone who has refurbish a rear axle know what it means when you forgot this little thing. Found it on the desk when I think I've done all the work. So I've to start over.

Done some modification of the swing arms. The car look like the Volvo C30.

More to come. First I have to sort some picture.

The last plastic work. 205 Automat Hood in carbon fibre. Dusty car, but I wash before next trackday 12/8 -09 Kinnekulle ring.

 

 

We'll see if I got the new engine to next year. It's about time.

Think I follow him rather well with a standard engine. Seems he didn't the hunting.

After three lap he let me pass. But I think it was fun. Yes yes I know I need a Quaife diff.

What’s the Swedish MoT requirement thing then, which looks like a sun visor?

 

Some of us may be coming to Sweden in the first week of June in 2010. Perhaps we could make sure we meet up, including some other Swedish 205/309 owners and possibly all go to a track day or some other cool event (karting etc)?
