Any adaptor on the bell housing or is it straight fit? Rear and Top engine mount custom or a little bit of adaption to the originals?

Looks like a Honda bellhousing welded to a BE gearbox?

Thats very impressive <_<

And we have a winner.Specs are as follows.

Peugeout Sport full close ratio box.

2.5 inches removed from front of peugeot bellhousing.

Honda bellhousing cut until 2.5 inches remaining.

stage 4 Mi16 clutch and pressure plate bolted to honda flywheel.

Both bellhousings aligned and welded.

Rear engine mount and driveshaft mount cut and welded to flat plate to bolt to honda engine.

Top engine mount cut and used on adapter plate to honda mount.

Hondata full engine management

Engine is the K20a2 210hp but has been upgraded with jdm k20a cams and pistons so should be to the 220hp spec.

Very nice <_<

I'm not familiar with Honda engines but don't they normally fit on the other side of the bay and therefore presumably spin in the opposite direction?

Valid point, they do...

Good fabrication skills, I thought the box looked familiar <_<

Not these new ones. They fit the same was as peugeot and also have the exhaust to the back.

Interesting, i'm getting confused with B16 engine.

What RPM does the VTEC kick in? My mate has one running 200bhp nice and rapid <_<

what did you do about the engine mount side?

Bally

Gearbox mount original peugeot

Back mount original peugeot slightly modified to bolt on honda engine

Top engine mount original 8valve slightly modified and bolted to honda engine bracket.

I can lift out this engine and bolt in a peugeot engine.

Mi16 clutch and pessure plate fits straight onto honda flywheel.

Honda harness and ecu is very simple being complete and like 4 wires to hook up.

Parts and mods are endless and cheap.

I have also just fitted one in a mitsubushi colt mivec onto the mivec box.

Conversions including making box and fitting starting and driving away usually take 1-2 days.

People take longer to fit a mi16 engine.

Awesome!

K20s even run with a slight tilt just like an XU. Personally I think this is the way to go rather than highly modified peugeot engines.

What exhaust manifold are you using with this custom I guess? Standard radiator?

std exhaust from dc5 honda works back.

Do you know anyone that would be willing to cast this bell housing and produce them cheap? I wouldnt want any money for the design.

Very nice, i know some one with a Honda engine in a mk1 Escort but wouldn't have given the pug a thought. I bet its really fast, do you use it for competition?

Thats excellent Bally :D I'd be very interested in a bellhousing but I imagine the cost of tooling up for it would be mega money, However saying that engineering in this country is a strange industry so its worth looking into....may cost very little.

keep us all updated.

Is that an alloy block too? Any idea how much the engine alone weighs?

i would be very intersted to! have always thought about this. Used to own an ep3 wtih a k20 and it was such a great revvy engine and with any kind of open filter the nosie was phenominal! imagine the power and noise in a 205 ) if these could be produced on a big scale £££££££££

You first build a bushing that fits snug in the back of the k20 crank and that the peugeot input shaft fits snug in

that gives you your input shaft centre. The rest is easy.
