Vz_ace 0 Posted July 7, 2011 Is it true, that the rear brake drums are the same for all 205 models? Do for example drums from 1.1 fit to 1.6 gti? cheers, Vlado
Tom Fenton 1,526 Posted July 7, 2011 I believe them to be different.
Paul_13 212 1 Cars Posted July 7, 2011 I think I found the 1.6gti drum pads to be ever so slightly wider, could be the same for the drum itself.
Anthony 1,000 Posted July 7, 2011 As Tom said, they are different between base models and GTi's - shoes, drums, cylinders and backplates. They all attach in the same way though, so swapping over a complete drum setup is easy - undo the hub nut, remove the drum, and undo the four caphead bolts. welshpug 1,627 Posted July 7, 2011 gti uses 40mm wide shoes and appropriate drums, base model used 30mm wide ones, not sure if the mating face, i.e track width, is any different overall.
