Rear Axle Grégory Alaize Peugeot 205

Recommended Posts

Bas

I found thesepictures of the Rear Axle on the net.

The more I look at them the more interesting this setup becomes.

For sure the car hitsomething because the right extra "control arm" is bent.

The axle has only onetorsion bar?

I cannot find any moreinfo about this setup, maybe some French forum members can? (Ben)

two torsion bars there, they are connected in the middle a little like the renault clio, though they are inside the crossmember on the renault.

So what this basically is, is a standard(ish) beam with some extra scaffholding and some extra links to the ends of the swing arms?

Not too sure what is happening there, those links to the rear arms are some form of anti roll are they not?

Smart looking rally car though, neat sill stands and I like the quick release rear bumper too.

Pretty much, looks like just a way to stiffen the rear beam assembly whilst staying within regulations.

looks a similar principle to the whiteline(?) bolt on anti roll bar system

Cracking welding on that frame, no wonder so many like it.

I also spot two original fuel filters and some sort of mount
