2052NV 24 Posted March 11, 2014 Hello people. I have been lurking around here for a while just never got round to posting a thread. Now my car is pretty non "stand out" compared to some of the awesome machines on here but i love it (even after 7 years of ownership), especially because there are not many of these on the roads in New Zealand. 1991 1.9 205 GTI Spec -Engine 1.9 MI16 Big ass cams (in prep for ITB's one day) lightened and balanced bottom end new everything Baker BM vernier pulleys " " Coolant hose and oil hose sets " " Alloy pulley Accusump external oil reserveoir 19 row oil cooler -Gearbox MI16 Quaife lsd -Suspension Full 309 GTI gear Fully polly bushed Solid rear beam mounts Yellow Speed coil overs 25mm rear ARB -Brakes 307 front calipers 283mm discs 306 GTI-6 Master cyl braided lines Couple pics Some may recognise this one And my BMW
2052NV 24 Posted March 11, 2014 Once i got the MI in a couple years ago i proceed to run a big end bearing at the race track before lunch! Mostly due to me not paying enough attention to the gauge..... was having far too much fun schooling WRX's on how fast to go around a corner...... till i got the death rattle So i rebuilt the MI again with new crank and rods. thats when i decided the accusump would be a good option as i didnt have the budget for a full dry sump..... plus this is only a "fast road car" not a race car. This system definitely helps but is no cure forsure. I have been running the drop in peugeot sport sump "baffles" which i now believe does jack all (with semi slicks and coil overs). So the other day i went and made a proper baffled wall for the sump. Also wired up a better LED warning system for the oil pressure. Orange one comes on when the accusump comes on and the red light comes on at 1.5bar also has a 90db buzzer wired to it, so i definitely wont miss the low oil pressure warning again Before and aftermocking upthe trap doors ill be using.... that's rite COSWORTH items 8). I'm making this baffle set up using no bolts or rivets, This is because fasteners could come loose or sheer (after seeing what unfortunately happened to DRTY's car :-[ ). This is also the reason i went to tin sump, as alloy welding has a major habit of cracking and falling apart when in high vibration environments.made it fit the Constella windage traymade a lush coffeeDat fitment yothen cut holes so baffle flaps could be fittedAlso had to cut a hole for the temp sensor as the old ZX doesn't have onethis is an idea of what it'll look like, will drop it of on monday to get it braised into placeAlso finally after the 3rd try! i got the correct adapter to fit a new pressure switch to my Accusump system. Also added a right angle piece as room is tight! Also now i finally got the proper pressure switch in i wired up the pre warning light for the oil pressure. The orange one comes on when the Accusump opens at 1.5 bar then the red one comes on at 1bar which is time to switch it off quick :-X

2052NV 24 Posted March 11, 2014 Yea were pretty lucky in NZ we can get a personalized plate with anything we want on it (besides naughty words), No need for area codes or anything, I got the plate when i was 17 and now im older (24) look at it with a bit of a cringe but oh well was the coolest thing ever at the time
