dobboy 231 2 Cars Posted April 9, 2014 Can someone tell me what the small bracket fixed to the top of the NS headlight panel is for? It's near the asbestos warning sticker. TIA
Anthony 1,000 Posted April 9, 2014 Pictures paint a thousand words... Could be the power steering reservoir bracket or the bracket for the power shunt box, but hard to say without seeing it!
dobboy 231 2 Cars Posted April 9, 2014 Will get a pic. It's not shunt box or reservoir bracket. It has two electrical looking connections on it, however one is plastic, the other is part of the bracket and goes to earth. Could it be to do with one of the little tubular electrical items? Dizzee stuff 33 1 Cars Posted April 9, 2014 Alarm switch ?????
dobboy 231 2 Cars Posted April 9, 2014 Nope, it's definitely a pug part, You can see the top of it on this guys car just.to the right of the right of the slam panel. It's black, held on to top of headlight panel by a 6mm torx bolt into a captive nut. http://www.pug205.net/photos.html
Miles 331 1 Cars Posted April 9, 2014 That's easy, But I'll see if anyone else get's it first, But your car must be a late F plate for this to be fitted
GLPoomobile 958 Posted April 9, 2014 I was going to say the bracket for the fan and headlight resistors, but after looking at that photo with the red and blue things all I can say is "d'f***?"

jackherer 543 Posted April 10, 2014 I was going to say the bracket for the fan and headlight resistors, but after looking at that photo with the red and blue things all I can say is "d'f***?" The red and blue things are nitrous solenoids but I think he means the bracket to the left of them which I don't recognise. Miles seems to know but I'm a bit confused that he says the OPs car must be a late F reg when the one in the photo is on an E plate.
dobboy 231 2 Cars Posted April 10, 2014 Spill the beans miles, you have 205 geeks all over the country googling 205 engin bay pics. Ps I'm almost certain my E plate 1.6 had the same bracket back in the day, and inclined to think it held the one of the electrical tube things.... But not sure why it had an earth tab. Something to do with horn maybe?

welshpug 1,626 Posted April 10, 2014 Ah, later cars had a plastic clip in the top of the chassis leg instead.
