Mi16 Sump Boss?

Hello,

I have just started to rebuild my Mi16 and while skimming EBay I noticed a mi16 sump for sale which has an extra boss on it compared to mine. I have now looked closer at mine and I can see where a boss has been ground off at some point. My question is what is this boss for and do i need it? Normally there are two bosses / studs one above the other on the end of the sump, I only have the top one.

Aircon pump mount? Your description is pretty terrible, try us with pictures

Mine has 'bosses' with threaded holes on the timing belt end of the sump, but they aren't used. I do have aircon, too.
