erbs 42 1 Cars Posted January 31, 2015 Can I remove the bar without having to drop the sub frame out? Silly question but better to ask 1st than to try and struggle and fail dismally
welshpug 1,621 Posted January 31, 2015 (edited) nope, unless you don't mind cutting it in two... you only need to drop the rear of the subframe however, and loosen the front. Edited January 31, 2015 by welshpug
erbs 42 1 Cars Posted January 31, 2015 was thinking maybe once undone the bush mounts, pulling out from either side funny really i managed to swap a complete steering rack on my transit coz there is loads of room it just slid out from the drivers side,oh well just a few bolts more
welshpug 1,621 Posted January 31, 2015 rack is possible yes but due to the shape of the ARB it'll be a no.
calvinhorse 870 Posted February 1, 2015 I did this the other day, it's only 6 bolts to drop the subframe, the steering rack/column has enough give to let it swing down just enough
erbs 42 1 Cars Posted February 1, 2015 When we get some drier weather will get the bar out and get it sent off to the powder coaters
