1.9 Gti - Ignition Lights On Dashboard

Recommended Posts

In terms of the ignition lights on the dash , Should all 4 red lights be on i.e STOP, battery,Handbrake. when ignition is on ?

I only seem to have the battery and Handbrake lights on and i vaguely remember that all 4 lights used to light up when i switched the ignition on (its been standing unused for 5 years)

The car doesnt start - Not getting any fuel to the engine and i think it may be the immobiliser

Should have the following light on:

STOP, oil pressure, coolant temperature, battery, handbrake (if on) and engine management (on CAT models with Motronic management)

On yours, it sounds like the oil pressure switch isn't working or has a bad connection - it's that which triggers the STOP, oil pressure and coolant temperature warning lights to illuminate on ignition on.
