Xu10 And Xu9 Oil Pump Inter-changability

Is the Xu 10 oil pump a direct swap for the 1.9 Mi16 Xu9 item? I've not seen them.

I ask as I understand only the Xu10 pump has the provision for attaching the chain guard via the 2 M6 screws?

 

I will be going the Gti-6 (Xu10) sump, drive sprocket (26 tooth) and chain (52 link) route and wanted to fit the chain guard also but this requires the Xu10 oil pump to be fitted.

That's correct. XU10 pumps are otherwise identical except for the two extra M6 mounting holes.

Not all XU10 pump's have the bolt holes so just be careful is buying a S/H one

i) will be needing a suitable oil pump and gubbings v soon if anyone can help?

 

ii) will be in touch with PeteT too ref buying his sump and extended pick-up anti-surge modification
