Eccentric Mounts

Recommended Posts

Right I got my tarmac inserts today so want to fit my new eccentric mounts.

The mounts come with the top nut and spacer.

The top nut is fine but the spacer is a tiny bit to small to slide down the un-threaded part, I'm guessing it should slide down as otherwise it leaves me quite short of threads for the top nut.

Should I just get it opened up a tiny bit just so it fits on the non threaded bit?

Will it not tap down with a socket over it?

You really need to bore them out on a lathe or you may get away with drilling it

Problem solved, Used a drill and just took a very small amount of material out.

I had a spare set so thought I'd try it.
