Sadly I'm old enough to remember switching on Grandstand of a Saturday and watching these monsters compete for real not only in Group B but also in British Rallycross....Murray and Tiff commentating!

It's a shame you don't see rallycross on mainstream TV anymore. highly underrated sport imo.

Rallycross

European rally cross was on Motors TV the other night if you have Sky. There must have been over 15 WRC cars ie Focus's, C4's, Fabias etc, far more than most WRC rallies! Then there were all the 4wd Fiestas like the Dorans run, S40's, even a 4wd Clio. Far quicker than in WRC spec as less restriction!
